clean rooms, nice staff, did not eat the breckfast, looked skimpy, ate out instead, otherwise very nice
room needed a little repair, and compleation of wood work on the walls,
A pleasant and preferred spot which we use already twenty years to visit Paris. Excellent arrondissement, Metro - and busstops all around, friendly staff, excellent beds, quiet rooms. Friendly welcome and efficient check-out. One of the very best places to stay. We recommend it to all our friends.
The best thing is the location--a very quiet street in a very safe neighborhood with no more than a 10 minute walk to shops, metro, museums-- the hotel is what it is--a 3 star french hotel that is well past its prime-- the rooms are standard size but clean
The staff varied greatly--some were helpful, others less so the general manager was very good but 2 of the staff were dishonest with us, one put a charge on our bill despite our paying cash which the general manager then had to remove another despite being asked several times if there would be charge for calling a taxi and saying no there would not be a charge there was one anyway and then told us he had said there would be the final straw was the taxi to the airport which they called and was there for 20 minutes for which we had to pay and the taxi had no charge card and we had used up our euros so we had to go into the terminal and change more money as we were rushing for our flight
The big surprise here was the peaceful and open view from the room across a large urban green space of gardens. A french countryside experience in the heart of Paris but be warned this will only happen from the upper levels at the rear of the hotel. Otherwise nothing much to complain about at this price point in Paris.
Good potential for a property that has good bones but needs a little bit of flair and tender loving care to spruce it up. A little bit of editing in the ground floor lobby would be a great start.
We liked the suite with two separate bedrooms. We liked the breakfast in the hotel. We liked the neighborhood with excellent restaurants just steps away.
We liked the location and small intimate atmosphere.
the location is very quiet at night. it is close to 3 metro stops. the staff are very efficient -- they remember your room number and retrieve your key.on your first return.
The price of the breakfast at 13 Euros. They had only one picture on the walls of the large room and no mirror in the room itself. It was very bare. The only deluxe thing about the room was the size.
Absolutely nothing. This was one of the worst hotels I have stayed at in any major city in the world at any rate.
Dirty, tiny rooms, old tv that did not work, soiled unsanitary carpeting, very small bathroon, archaic facilities, noisy (could hear everything going on in the rooms above and beside) horrible outdated facilities. Dangerous remote location, not accessible to taxi's and public transportation. If this is 3 start I play for the NBA.
It is very well located. The reception team is kind.
The cost benefit relation is not appropriate. The matress and pillows are extremely uncomfortable. The rooms are old.
Close to Rue du Bac (charming street) and other great locations.
Building and apartments are old, doors are cracked, wall and baseboard paint is peeling off, the so-called balcony was in terrible condition. The street is quiet, but you can hear everything from other apartments. It was not at all pleasant to stay in the hotel.
Every detail was thought of: my luggage was held when I arrived early, the staff was courteous and helpful, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, it was very quiet. It was the perfect place to rest in the middle of such a busy city.
Wish the internet was free.
Excellent service! The reception desk was very efficient, polite and informative. It's a nice clean hotel. Rooms were well kept. The location of the hotel was good..accessible to all...close proximity to metro, supermarket and resto. I would definitely recommend this to a friend. Thanks!!!
The location of the restaurant was very convenient to getting any where in the city. The room was spotless. Simple, but spotless. Comfortable beds. Good size bathroom. The street that the hotel is on is off the beaten path so the hotel was very quiet. Street noise does not disturb you. Nice lobby and back courtyard.
It would be nice to include breakfast and wifi in the price of the room. Many hotels do that now.
I have stayed at the Suede several times over last 15 years. It is a very understated hotel and remains good value for money. The staff are friendly and rooms are elegant many with views over the gardens of the French pm. The location is quiet but convenient for metro which means everywhere is near!
I've no complaints!
I liked the friendly attitude of reception and other staff. The location was quiet and sophisticated - near to the Rodin Museum which is delightful and also a short walk from Boulevard St Germain. It is also quite near the Musee d'Orsay, the Seine and les Invalides. The bedroom was plenty large enough, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom met all our needs. Breakfast was comprehensive and good value, taken at a leisurely pace.
Only complaint is that the towels were replaced daily, which is an unnecessary use of resources. Suggestions in other hotels include the option of choosing when guests might like clean towels, which may/should not be daily for ecological reasons.
